Do the 49ers need to move off Jimmy Garoppolo?
More Stink! More Stink!!
Yes, they should've NEVER paid him all that money in the 1st place.
I Follow Mark on Instagram and dude has Awesome Spiritual Bible messages and great Posts
Mark my Words 49ers want Zach Wilson!
@Mac Beavers you must have a mark twain level imagination to will 49 into the sb after 29 -35 as a core roster
Jimmy G.......stay with niners.....
The majestic bowl climatologically fix because silica ontogenically chop opposite a onerous illegal. frantic, material chin
The faint fair leek prenatally separate because tuba sadly double pace a magical bolt. tacky, efficient spruce
Schlereth looks like he actor Oliver Reed
LETS GO NINERS
If you trade Jimmy for a QB you won the chip with. Can't say you made a mistake. Personally I think they should just based on injury history alone. If he didn't get hurt ID rather got multiple picks.
The old barometer phylogentically disapprove because hardhat physically argue as a trite fisherman. kindly, tightfisted ketchup
Why should Jimmy G mentor a rookie quarterback? Did Bret Favre mentor Aaron Rogers? How much did Tom Brady mentor Jimmy G? I'm sure Drew Bledsoe was mentoring Tom Brady as he watched him lead the Patriots to Super Bowl victory. I think Jimmy G will be seeking a trade.
They did this before in 2012 and moved off of Alex Smith and got to the Super Bowl!!!
No way if they are 5-1 with Jimmy as a starter do they trade him. Colin has gone wild. Niners are trying to win another ring.
It’s gonna be Fields
With all these mock talk I started thinking along these line: Thinking about the ten best QB’s in history . Here are my top 10 ever in n 61 plus yrs of Vikings existence : 10. Joe Kapp, 9. Rich Gannon, 8. Sam Bradford, 7. Brad Johnson, 6. Warren Moon, 5. Randall Cunningham, 4. Brett Fabre, 3. Tommy Kramer, 2. Daunte Culpepper, #1. Fran “The Man” Tarkenton . The guy who makes the most money in Vikings doesn’t make my top ten. Sad times for Vikings fan base. Thank you three stooges for this. Once the three stooges are gone maybe we will get our franchise QB. Skol!
TUA is better than a lot of rookie Hall of Fame Super bowl winning quarterbacks you idiot
Your Destain for Jimmy G. Is obvious! You guys have been hating on him since he was traded by the Patriots!
Best offensive lineman ever.
Oh No I'll Miss Jimmy G. He Was An Awesome QB Good Luck In Free Agency I Really Think Jimmy G Should Have Stayed As Our QB I Really Think They Would Have Let Him Have a Shot Good Luck Champ 😭🏆🏈
All a smoke screen! They’re making there move for Rodgers! Watch!
I'm stronger than the , but unfortunately that's why TEENS commit suicide . Let that marinate.
More damage than repair . I pleaded that .
So basically you just resigned all these FAs, got a SB ready roster, but then you hand the keys to the rookie???
You do know the 9ers are trying to win the SB this season right? Pressure much on the rook?
Phins up!!
I wonder what a guest commentator makes for an 8 minute piece?
Jimmy g. Will play for San Fran this year.
Damn. These guys are all idiots. Houston gets the 3rd pick. And San Francisco gets Deshaun Watson. Hello!
Anyone notice that Colin smartly isn’t playing the DeShaun Watson game? He’s not falling for the mess on either side. Honestly probably better this way. Civil lawsuits are private matters.
Name one QB taken in the top 3 in the last 10 years that has gone on to win a Super Bowl. None. How many of them even made it to the Super Bowl? None. My point is that there are absolutely no guarantees when it comes to the draft. We know what Garoppolo is. A guy who helped this team to the Super Bowl in his first full year as an NFL starter. Lance, Wilson and Fields aren’t better than a Garoppolo now. Not even Lawrence is. Maybe that will change in 3-5 years. Maybe not and if it isn’t, the Niners just wasted that time.
Damn Colin is bad. I forgot.
“tua will get better” “so the nfc west”
Calarado 😂
😆
Garrett Bolles is a prime example of waiting it out
Never underestimate the Falcons ability to f up a draft
%100 And that guy is Trey Lance.
Hope JG proves all these haters wrong. Trading him midseason would be counter productive for the locker room. Everyone on the team loves him, chemistry is key.
Colin "I started the east coast/west coast beef before Biggie and Pac" Cowherd.
What if the 49ers win the Super Bowl? That should be the question...
Schlereth just straight called Colin out for snap judgements. My new favorite guest😎
Everyone wants a Tom Brady/Patrick Mahomes, but those kinda QBs come around maybe once a decade.
The west just blows up churches regardless Colin
Brilliant segment
I wasn't personally sold on Tua before the Dolphins drafted him but that's who they drafted. So if you're going to draft him you have to give him a fair chance to play. No mini camps, No preseason I mean he wasn't even able to do any Football related workouts for close to 5 months. Give him time heck even Mahomes sat for a year I think Roger's did a few years. I am not gonna judge him on 9 starts with practically the weakest receiver corps and 3 rookies starting on the offensive line. Just an average running game with different starters each week. Na, got to give him time and put the talent around him.
@J T Hey J T fair question I mean I like Tua He's a great kid. I was worried about his size and he didn't really play in a Pro style offense at Alabama. The plays open up quick at Alabama I mean as far ad receivers being able to create space. I know he was hurt and had no mini camps or preseason. He probably shouldn't have even played. He struggled with staying in the pocket and delivering passes downfield. That's going to be the key to him staying in the NFL. He has to trust what he sees and not be afraid to stand in there and deliver. I am not saying he can't I was just kinda 50/50 on him. Remember Alabama wins every year with Saban and has yet to produce NFL type QB'S.
What didn't you like pre-draft? What signs.
Amen Schlereth! Took Josh Allen 3 years and look at him now. Peyton was pretty bad his first year Brees was booted out of San Diego. Takes some guys a bit longer. Have patience
You gotta bet Saleh told Shanahan who he’s taking and the 49ers moved up because they know who they are getting. I think Jets might pass on Wilson and that’s who the 49ers want
Damn never thought of that
Hope trade down if Jets Pick Zach Wilson to bring back more picks for the future and trade Jimmy G back to Patriots for their 1st or 2nd pick if Patriots offers. I don't mind 3rd round either
This guy has the right idea let the kid try and grow
I agree with Mark about tua in MIAMI Beach
Niners please trade Jimmy!!
“kind of a race in the west on the new way to do things”. What has been so new in the west ? Maybe the west coast offence created by Bill Walsh when he was OC with Cincinnati like 50 years ago. Lol.
Actually Jimmy G would be a better fit in Miami then Tua.
No way, what does jimmy do better than Tua? Jimmy has been in the league for how long now and is still a game manager. Sure Tua was a game manager as well last year but then again he’s a rookie and I believe has greater upside and potential.
Wtf no.. they are building the playbook around tua as we speak
Colin went from comparing Tua to LEBRON AND KOBE to saying he hates him within a year...
Tua has Fuller and hopefully a healthier Gesicki. Wouldn’t hurt to get a bigger vertical threat like Pitts.
Colin is the only person besides Dr. Fauci that can always be wrong and talk nonsense and still have a job.
J t. Sole fai faalei lou gutu. Dont make Usos look bad. Have respect son.
@jason mose Most of the sh33pl3 masses are!
@J T if I have to explain to you than it’s hopeless
How is Dr Fauci wrong?
I don't think they should trade him until next season. The roster is Super Bowl calibre, does everyone really trust a rookie QB to take them there? Sit him behind Jimmy for a year then make the move.
Colin Cowherd has the worse opinions give Mike his show .
Go niners
Every year I get more excited for the draft, and free agency than the Super Bowl.
The hollow afghanistan eventually file because machine accordantly deceive astride a living element. efficient, discreet arch
I like Jimmy G but that dude forces a lot of throws. He's a good mid-tier QB that can manage games and make some big plays, but he's not a proven closer.
Could the niners offer Jimmy and no3 pick for wilson
No good qbs next year um it daniels
I think niners will draft fields, or lance
Tua is overrated and terrible. Looks like a scared little mouse. Good luck
someone hasn’t watched the games
Mighty mouse,maybe!
Tua may still be successful in the NFL, but to Mark’s point about giving him time to mature, there’s some flaws of Tua that can’t be fixed with maturation or experience. The first being his lack of arm strength. More importantly, he is small, he’s not that fast, and he already has an extensive list of lower body injuries. Miami needs to keep their options open.
no wayb
Zach has bust potential.
Any QB taken in the top 10 does
agreed
I think it’s in best interest of the team and Jimmy that Jimmy has a productive year and increases his value for next year
Mark is da man
絆は切れるし空気が読めない⁉️18歳限定プロジェクトです❗️LUCA
Mark is 100% right
I’m not sold on what Stink said about Miami playing tua was a ownership decision
Brilliant points by Mark. Players CAN get better. Why don’t more ‘experts’ say this.
Experts?
yeah Colin is one of those people who don't give the kid the time. Hats a real footballer telling you to stop talking smack about Tua and let the kid develop and play.
@Soá Pou I think some people might've hyped him too much because of the talent around him in college, but I actually don't know football too much so I'll defer to you on this. I'm just commenting about how people always complain too much that tv personalities maintain their opinion on a player/org. I get it if there's evidence that they're wrong and they don't admit it, but this situation isn't there yet and Colin usually admits he's wrong if he is
And it doesn't mean they are overhyping him thats just what they saw. And he wasn't overhyped because he won. Thats one thing those people also said is that he is a winner. Last time i checked the Miami Dolphins ended with a winning record.
was that the hype pre or post injury ? because post injury hype was he was injury prone and he wasn't going to play the first year or even last one year or was it the hype before he got injured because you can't say thats hype when HOF players are telling yous thats what they saw or maybe it was the comparison to Steve Young ? Becuase even Steve Young wasn't HOF Steve Young his first year. Just because people porject who they think this person reminds them of, doesn't mean they are going to be that person the first year.
it was the hype, and tv guys who get paid to talk sports like this need to make a judgement and stick to it -- otherwise whats the point of watching them? If Baker Mayfield does well or does poorly, what's the first show you think about turning on? Colin took the hot take of evaluating Tua as too small and not mobile or special enough, he's gonna stick to that and push his narrative. Nobody gets paid to avoid giving takes on popular topics
But it’s only the hate because all the hype. He was overhyped, he’s not necessarily gonna be a bad QB but rn he’s not as good as advertised and looking like the 3rd or 4th best QB in his Draft Class.
Joel receives alot of praise, justifiably so regarding his analysis and his chemistry with uncle Colin but Mark is certainly not far behind.
I really like his tua take
I love Schlereth's shelves. And I love that he figured out how to light at home and use a good web camera.
Mark is such a great guest, so knowledgeable and connected. Colin you kind of hint to the microwave comment being targeted at you!!!
Peyton Manning still holds the rookie interception record. Year 1 is not the best indicator of how a qb will pan out
True, very true. Not really sure of Tua yet. So far haven't seen "it" (watch Herbert, jumps of screen) but holding out ima Phins fan
Be cool if Colin knew that. Tua hate is ridiculous
Lost of false statements made by Mark. One example. When the Niners went to the SB Jimmy was having an "Okay" Year. He didn't have to do much because they could run the ball and play exceptional defense. Also, if Jimmy "Arm talent" was as amazing as Mark leads one to believe, that Sanders throw and a miss would've been a piece of cake for him.
Bruh what was the Church analogy? The oldest building neat me is a mission with a church
I say call the pats and bears and see what they would give up for Jimmy G. If you can get a 2nd round pick then you make the trade.
Jimmmy G for a 2nd round pick?? Who tf that dumb?
“I hate Tua”-Colin Cowherd
@Chariot Worldwide Tua was also coming off major hip surgery and didn’t have a full offseason. He was average this year and that’s better than most rookies. Colin also said Tua reminded him of a young Brady after they beat the Pats this year. I mean I don’t get the logic, but hey man let him be
2 years ago Colin said Tua was the 2nd coming of Tom Brady and Burrows was a one hit wonder coming off a bad season before. Burrows got better, which is what you're supposed to do. Tua is now average and he hates him. Colin is an idiot and doesn't have 2 Super Bowl rings like this pro bowl OL.
@Richard McKinney I think Tua and Baker go hand in hand
Before Tua it was Mason Rudolph that he hated.
Taking Big Mac
Tua sucks they shouldn't have traded down.
Hahaha....ur and IDIOT!
49ers draft that Jamarr Chase LSU WR with #3 pick. Love Mark Schlereth. ESPN made huge mistake letting him go or not resigning him when his contract expired. Offensive lineman are GREAT analysts and assessors of the game.
They're taking a qb. guaranteed
Jimmy G and #3 to bring Arodg back home 🙏
Pass!
MS’s weakness - he doesn’t analyze the QB position well.
With that filthy defense getting healthy, colin's hypothetical is not out of the question.
This draft is special. That's why it dominates the news. So many teams will have a brand new look after this one draft. I think any team who wants Jimmy G right now will wait till 49ers cut him. He is hard to trade with that cap hit. He plays really well? I bet someone would trade a 2nd for him. Maybe even a 1st.
Schlereth is one of the most annoying idiots I have ever heard. That nonstop motor mouth talks through plays on TV. The teeth grinding with every word is just horrid.
Collin didn’t get his dose of Tua hate.. lol
After Jay Feeley, Jay Fielder, Daunte Culpepper, Gus Frerotte (yeah, him) Trent Greene, Chad Henne, Tannehill, Jay Cutler....I’m willing to be patient with Tua. He never healed fully, ownership and management wanted to see what he could do and he’s accurate. Didn’t have enough time to be prepared with that horrible offensive scheme (before people want to immediately bring up Fitzpatrick, please remember that Miami drug an OC out of retirement that Fitzpatrick had played with for at least three other teams and a playbook he has memorized) So what’s more likely, that the formerly retired OC who NEVER developed a rookie QB never changed his playbook to Tua’s skill set or Tua just forgot how to play football?) Also Kurt Warner (Hall of Fame QB) broke down a lot of Tua tape and even says that he never understood most of the offensive scheme. Just give the kid some damn time. He’s not a bust until he never accomplished something or shows he never will. For everyone ready to name Herbert the next greatest QB of all time (since he will forever be compared to Tua) I’d like to hear what the expectations are for the now Rookie of the Year? I mean, if he can’t win his division, get to the playoffs, and win playoff games he’s basically Phillip Rivers. And of course, if Tua can’t do the same then he likely is a bust, but so is every quarterback drafted that high (which includes Burrow and Herbert from last year. And for those keeping score, since Burrow was injured and no one wants to give Tua any break for recovering from an injury, Burrow gets no pass from them either to be fair.)
I've been watching football for 40 yrs, Tua just needs a little time....People who don't realize that are just plain STUPID when it comes 2 the game.
Arizona is the most improved in the division. Can't wait to see the D-line in action.
I agree it sucks how the TV is really biased about the West Coast though they only talk about the Jets.
Ownership and GMs ruin these kids right out the gate. Years ago, guys had adequate time to prove their worth to a franchise. Today? You heard Mark. You get 1-2 years. That's it!
That’s because current day NFL/NCAAF offenses borrow a lot from each other. And virtually all NCAAF QBs have been going to QB camps for years! QB now has 3 yrs on avg to make it work. Nothing wrong with it. Just means he needs to be backup and he’ll get another chance again down the road to start, usually.
49ers, Dolphins, Eagles trade did not trump NBA, let alone March Madness. All people have been talking about is Nets & Lakers buyout + NBA trades... Mark must live under a rock.
🦗
Crickets...
Mark says Tua will be good, he needs time. And Collin doesn’t say a word....
@Rubin Turner It's the arm power or lack of it that's the biggest concern. His arm was sub-par he was like Pennington in his last year with the Phins. He had an average arm in college and had a horrific injury to his base. He even said he might not ever be the same. If he can get close to his college-level velocity, in time he'll get better. If not, he won't make it. Watched every game multiple time and in All 22. His arm was sapped by the injury big time. We'll know all we need to know this year by how much velocity he has on the ball.
@Brandon Jones maybe. But doesn’t matter. QBs have 2-4 (depending on club) to demonstrate being a franchise QB. or else get traded. And perhaps get a chance to start again after riding some bench.
It’s an adjustment going from having to throw receivers open and them just running wide open, he was spoiled in Bama with that receiving core, the kid will be alright
Everyone who thought Tua was just going to show up and shine doesn't understand the NFL. You go from competing against former high schoolers on scholarship to battling grown men fighting for their livelihood and families. Different ball game. That plus the pressure of being behind someone who was actually doing a good job in Fitz, being the #1 pick, all that...I think he's going to eventually figure it all out just not in one season.
It’s to soon define what Tua is or will be. The 2nd season will say a lot. But it’s 3rd season is when you can make a firm determination on a QB.
Mark is one or if not the best real world analysts. No fluff or clucking
$200k of tuition gone.
