Chris Broussard joins Colin Cowherd to react to the trades made yesterday before the NBA trade deadline. Broussard breaks down the exchange between Lou Williams and Rajon Rondo on the Los Angeles Clippers and the lack of movement on the Los Angeles Lakers. Additionally, he feels LeBron James' NBA career may end sooner than anticipated as he continues to show signs of his body breaking down with injury.

  • Terrible takes in this segment. Even if LAC had a dearth of leadership, they would still need Rondo for his playmaking, they had no point guard who can run offense. And Horton Tucker is not valued as a future allstar, he is valued as a potentially high impact, versatile role player, same as Lowry is right now. Schroeder and Tucker together are worth more than Lowry.

  • Hey Chris let me help you out. Kawhi wanted that heat. Kawhi wanted that target on his back. Kawhi felt he could become a main rival to lebron. Kawhi went to be the leader to rival lebron. Kawhi got everything he wanted from the clippers. Kawhi actually knew his thigh is not right, which is why he needs load management. The thigh is a deteriorating issue. Kawhi is not a vocal leader or able to handle the burden of leadership. Kawhi is not able to inspire teammates. Kawhi is not able to accept responsibility for his teams collaspe, which is why doc rivers was fired. Doc probably should have been fired but damn, kawhi, you could not hold up your end of the “it’s my team” deal. Kawhi wanted so much to be the man and the main show, when really you need to be part of the main show. Hopefully, now mr. Leader lacking kawhi now understands why Lebron, even with his passive aggressive nonsense can be the face of the league and one of the greats, while your awesome as long as your playing in the background. The heat lebron commands and demands and handles the burden like one of the greats, while it blew you, kawhi out of the greatness rarified air you so aspired to claim. Always accept your place in the nba world and not buy into the hype, when you knew you were not worthy. Even KD shrank under that heat, which is why KD joined forces with even less able to handle the heat kyrie. I can understand everyone is waiting for their time in the sun, which lebron has soaked up. Just be patient and make sure when your time comes your ready. Honestly, the three names I mentioned have absolutely been blown out of the water, which lebron has circumnavigated for almost a decade. Or maybe when you guy are ready in the next ten years, at least lebron will have retired by then. In the mean time, everybody needs to put some spect behind lebrons name. It’s ok to also include the passive aggressive part as well. Guess there will always be some dysfunctionality with greatness.

  • LBJ is so overrated. Without super teams, he would never win a championship. He is a historically great player, but he is the system wherever he goes - he handles the ball all the time, which enables him to stack up the stat sheet (also 'no defense & soft' NBA today makes it so much easier to put up huge numbers statistically). The reason he cannot win without super teams is because it's the nature of his game - he is a facilitator with an amazing passing ability without any amazing offensive skill sets (contrary to the players like Jordan & Kobe). The only offensive skill he has is bulldozing to the basket. He is a 'dependent' player - when everything gets so tight and breaks down, he does not have the capability to break through (even a bad free throw shooter...). He is a definitely all-time top 10 player, but not top 5.

    bwcjak23bwcjak2322 օր առաջ

He missed 27 the first year with the Lakers when he injured his groin. The next closest year was 2014-2015 season, he missed only 13 games. They acting like his counterparts (Kevin Durant, kawhi Leonard, Stephen Curry) haven’t missed way more significant time throughout their careers. All have multiple seasons where they have missed at least 30 games and they’re younger. He’s older, he’s smarter , he’s more strategic. Chris is overreacting, Lebron is still iron man. He’s also Tony stark🧠

    • @Slumps he's unimpressive compared to kareem, Kobe, Jordan, even bird. It's a powderpuff league and way easier to put stats up today. The fact Jordan played in a much more physical era and stuck on one team is more reverence than lebron ever will achieve. The fact that he's jumped from team to team just to play with his buddies on stacked rosters is sad. All he cares about is his stats and him like everybody else in the NBA is lived in MJ's shadow. Mj is the measuring stick. half of LeBron's stats are only due to the fact how long he has played. He's choked too many times in the championships, hes never been near as good a defender as MJ was, he averages more than 3 pts/game less than MJ, and he only surpassed MJ in points in 118 more games than it took Mike to hit that mark. You want to give LeBron props for passing the ball? Congrats, magic Johnson was doing that three over thirty years ago haha. Lebron is just the best the NBA has to offer today. He's dominant today, but nowhere near as dominant player to player as Jordan was.
